18 Odessa College Ford ASSET graduates honored

ODESSA (May 30, 2024) – Eighteen new Ford ASSET graduates from the Odessa College Automotive Technology program were recently honored at a graduation luncheon as they prepared to start their careers in the automotive industry armed with their associate degrees and their elite Ford Automotive Student Service Education Training (ASSET).

“These students have successfully completed their program and their hands-on training, and they are prepared to be competitive in the workforce,” said Automotive and Diesel Technology Department Chair Robert Turner.

Turner added, “ASSET is an elite two-year automotive technician program where students alternate between learning in the classroom and gaining hands-on experience at a Ford or Lincoln dealership. Students also have the privilege of a paid internship at a Ford or Lincoln dealership beginning the day they start the program, so they earn while they learn.”

The 18 honorees were joined by representatives from the dealerships that sponsored them in their program which culminated in their becoming employees of those companies upon their graduation.

The newly graduated technicians sponsored by Sewell Ford Lincoln in Odessa technicians are Braden Debes, Dilan Garza, Andrew Jacquez, Gage Leverett, Tristian Ramos, Adrian Robles, Richard Rose, and Sebastian White.
